What does CADR mean for office air purifier procurement?
Read pollutant-specific CADR, coverage ranges and documentation notes together with room layout and operating requirements before comparing office equipment.

Identify the pollutant first
CADR means clean air delivery rate, commonly expressed in cubic metres per hour. Check whether a value refers to particles or a particular gas before comparing numbers. Particle CADR is not formaldehyde CADR, and formaldehyde data does not automatically describe TVOC performance.
Keep units and documentation notes
Our product pages distinguish particle and formaldehyde data. Preserve asterisks, approximations and batch notes when preparing a procurement table. Use complete model numbers; a series nickname is not a specification for every version. Review the intended supply documentation before agreement.
Coverage is not the total workplace area
Separate rooms create placement questions that a whole-floor figure cannot answer. Record areas, heights, doors, windows, ventilation and hours, then request a zone-specific explanation. A particle coverage range is not a coverage guarantee for every pollutant.
Discuss operating speed and noise
Record meeting schedules, calls and intended equipment positions, then request relevant operating data. Do not infer quiet-speed performance from maximum CADR or treat a general quiet-operation claim as suitable for every workplace. Ask for missing data rather than estimating it.
Build a useful comparison table
Keep one complete model per row and separate columns for particle data, formaldehyde data, area, noise, rental status and notes. Mark unpublished values rather than using zero or borrowing another model’s specification. Keep the room schedule separate from the product table.
Use data to begin a proposal
CADR helps structure a comparison; it is not a substitute for source control, ventilation or workplace assessment and does not establish occupancy suitability.
